Gustavus Simpson (1920-2006) was an American technical information specialist.
Life
Gustavus Sailer Simpson Jr. was born 13 May 1920 in Cape May, NJ. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1943 with a B.S. in metallurgical engineering, then became a Captain in the U.S. Army. After the war Simpson worked in military intelligence at Wright Patterson Air Fprce Base in Dayton, OH. He then worked for 33 years at the Battelle Memorial Institute focusing on defense intelligence projects as a consulting technical coordinator from 1951 until 60, when he became Assistant Manager for information research 1960. He died December 20, 2006 in Columbus, Ohio.
