Milton Oliver Lee (1901-1978) was an American physiologist and editor.


Life

Milton Oliver Lee (1901-1978). Born September 8, 1901, in Conneaut, Ohio. BA 1922 and MA 1923 at Ohio State University, Columbus. PhD Ohio State University, Department of Physiology, 1926. Studies on the oestrus cycle in the rat. Instructor in physiology at Ohio State University 1923-1926. He was a research associate at Harvard Medical School 1929-42.

He was interested in insect physiology, endocrine physiology, respiratory metabolism, and protein in metabolism.

Contributions

He served as executive officer and managing editor for the Proceedings of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, Md, 1947-65. He was managing editor, Journal of Physiology 1947-65. According to Farkas-Conn, Lee was "an outstanding scientist and director of the FASEB."
