ASIST SIGs and Chapters

Histories of ASIST Chapters and SIGs were originally compiled by Sarah Buchanan and Toni Carbo, members of the ASIST 75th Anniversary Task Force in 2012. Available here.

This compilation reflected research conducted by Task Force Member Kathryn La Barre during her historical investigation with the ASIST Archives at the University of Michigan. Additionally, the authors and Task Force members recruited authors to present their work at the 2012 Pre-Conference. A special issue of the ASIS Bulletin - Volume 14, Issue 5 (June/July 1988) - was published to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASIS in 1987. The issue includes articles on Chapters, SIGs, and ASIS history.
