Projects conducted or proposed: 1. design of experimental classification and coding system for AEC documents; 2. study of the degree and character of subject slanting of abstracts in indexing and abstracting publications; 3. development of the Heatwole H-44, a small computer designed specifically for information searching; 4. design of a nonmanipulative correlative index; 5. analysis of the basis for selecting or designing storage and retrieval systems to meet different requirements; 6. project to test the efficiency of Uniterm indexing and nonmanipulative correlative indexing; 7. experimental keyword index to Cardiovascular bibliography; 8. study of abstracting and indexing services for mental health literature; 9. compilation and analysis of Science News Media; 10. evaluation of the Chemical Engineering Thesaurus. |
