Otto Frank

Otto Frank (1900-1981) was a German documentalist, known for his Handbuch der Klassifikationhandbook (Handbook on classification).

Life

Otto Frank was born July 30, 1900 in Essen. Served in the army during World War I, 1918-1919. From October 1919 he studied mechanical engineering and electrical engineering in the technical universities of Stuttgart and Berlin, with some work experience in industry. He worked for Siemens & Halske, Berlin, 1923-1924, then from November 1924 for the Normenausschusses der Deutschen Industrie (German standards institute, later renamed Deutscher Normenausschuss). He died in 1981.
