He was interested in data and information management systems, automated and manual information-handling systems, publishing systems for technical information, information utilization systems, and business management systems associated with foregoing areas.

Awards

1978 Skolnik Award(ACS) for conceiving, developing, and implementing computer-based information handling systems and procedures across the full range of CAS operations; and for leadership in the development of the CAS Chemical Registry System.
